Fernando Machado
Fernando Machado is the Chief Brand Officer at Chipotle. He also serves as Operating Partner at Garnett Station Partners. Fernando is a co-founder of the LIONS Growth MBA. Previously, Fernando was Chief Marketing Officer at Activision Blizzard. Before that, he served as CMO at Restaurant Brands International, overseeing Burger King, Popeyes, and Tim Hortons. Fernando is a visionary global marketer known for building brands and driving sustained business growth. He has earned a distinguished reputation by combining deep consumer insight with bold positioning, innovation, design, and strategic marketing. Widely recognized as one of the world’s most awarded marketing leaders, Fernando believes creativity is a true competitive advantage. He began his career at Unilever, spending 18 years rising from intern to senior leadership across multiple brands and categories. Fernando holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UNICAMP and an MBA from INSEAD. As an Operating Partner at Garnett Station Partners, Fernando serves on the boards of Mountainside Fitness, Honey Baked Ham and StayTerra.
Senior Advisors are not expected to be employed by GSP and will not perform services exclusively for the Fund or its portfolio companies. Operating Partners and Operating Executives may be employees of GSP and provide services to (or with respect to) one or more GSP Funds or their portfolio companies. Operating Partners’ and Operating Executives’ compensation (which may include, without limitation, without limitation, salary, carried interest, and expense reimbursement), transaction fees, options, participation interests, expense reimbursements or securities of a portfolio company or holding company, and/or a share of proceeds upon sale of a portfolio company or holding company) payable to such individuals is allocated to the relevant GSP Funds and/or portfolio companies to which such individuals provided services, and such amounts do not offset the relevant GSP Fund’s management fee and are not otherwise covered by the management fee.
